CHON – NEW SONG “STORY”
After leaving us all speechless with two delicious EPs – "Newborn Sun" (2013) and "Woohoo!" (2014) – San Diego's instrumental progressive quartet CHON is now ready for the next big step. Fresh off signing with American modern metal giant Sumerian Records, the band will release their long awaited debut album "Grow" on March 24th, 2015. […]
SWORN IN – NEW SONG “SUNSHINE”
Sworn In's debut album "The Death Card" was a release I really got into back in 2013, so I couldn't be more excited about hearing a new song from them. "Sunshine" suddenly appeared on the band's Vevo channel a couple of days ago, leaving an overall positive impression on their fanbase, me included. The extremely […]
EMBODIMENT SELF-TITLED LP REVIEW
The border between Death Metal and its Tech counterpart is a constantly shifting boundary. With each band who delves into both fields able to define this border in their own image with varying and divergent amounts of success. The level of victory all depends on the veracity with witch the band in question are able […]

Motörhead drummer Mikkey […]

Akin to the way a volcano can lie dormant for years before unexpectedly unleashing it’s mighty wrath on everything within reach, Sydney band Lo! kept a pretty low profile, until their thunderous debut in 2010. Conceived in 2006 by guitarist Carl Whitbread after the disbanding of his previous band Omerata, Lo! is made up of […]

FREE MUSIC MONDAY – WOLVES “GLOOM” EP
Wolves is quite the interesting band coming out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. No cheese included. They've been going strong for the past 5+ years, building a tight, little discography boasting 2 EPs and a number of singles to boot. Sound wise, they remind me of the band Structures – except with more Death Metal elements and […]
