Want to contribute towards the new TesseracT album? Here’s your opportunity! The band is currently seeking out field recordings to include on the new LP. CLICK HERE to learn more or simply read the official description here:
As part of developing the theme of this album, we want to gather a collection of field recordings (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_recording) – a series of sounds to give an insight into the complex and varied lives of our friends from around the world. We’d love for you to share with us any recordings you have – soundscapes, melodic sounds, percussive sounds – the only requirement is that it’s a recording of a sound you’ve encountered which you find interesting (and own the rights to). Whether it’s the static from your old radio, the sound of the train you take to work every morning, or your grandfather telling a story in another language – if it’s a sound you like, we want to hear it.
The idea is to use the recordings in different ways throughout the album, to weave them in and out of songs and make the people who attend our shows and buy our albums a part of the process – to make the album a more unified experience for us and for you. If your sound is used, you’ll be informed in advance and will of course be credited in the liner notes of the album. We look forward to hearing a varied selection of sonic snippets from across the globe!
Also, for those who are unaware, the band released a single “Smile” back in June of this year. You can give that a listen below and CLICK HERE for more information!
