It is with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of another very important member of the metal community. Martin Eric Ain, co-founder and bassist of the highly influential and legendary band Celtic Frost (as well as the predecessor Hellhammer), passed away over the weekend. He was only 50 years old.
According to reports from a Switzerland news source 20 Minuten, the cause of death was a heart attack while Martin was riding a tram.
The impact Martin had in conjunction with Celtic Frost, both during the active and inactive years as well as to this very day, is indeniable. The man will be sorely missed by many as his legacy lives on.
