Sadly, we must announce that we’ve lost another highly talented member of the metal community. Todd Honeycutt, bassist for the band Enfold Darkness, has passed away. He was only 30 years old. The band had the following to say of this:
“Our brother Todd, who performed on our latest album, has taken his own life. I wish that we could give you a better sounding statement – we are all still in disbelief. If you are able to chip in, let’s get him back to his family in South Carolina.”
There is a fundraiser to help cover his funeral costs. You can help the band and Todd’s family with this by CLICKING HERE.
Other statements were made through this fundraiser which speak volumes of the man’s character and significance:
“Todd was an awesome dude and a great musician. The world is a little darker (not in the cool way) without him.”
“I’m gonna try to contribute more soon. I love you too much Todd Honeycutt, I really wish I could show you how much you mold me to be the person I am today.”
“One of the best musicians I knew. And basically like an adopted brother to me. Todd was always down for an adventure; he was goofy as hell and so super talented.”
“I had a great experience with this man at Louisville Deathfest within the Enfold tour van. I’ve always been a longtime fan of the music his band perpetuated. May his friends, and their continued effort conquer the grievance cause by this great loss.”
“My heart goes out to all of y’all. Todd had such a positive impact on so many lives. His light burned the brightest. I love you man.”
Let him be remembered through his music in addition to the clear impact he had in life.
R.I.P. Todd Honeycutt
