Given the recent and untimely death of Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, a lot of people have been feeling a mixture of sadness and nostalgia lately. There’s no doubt that the band has touched countless lives over their run and the loss has been felt profoundly across the music community.
That being the case, we wanted to draw your attention back towards the start, before the band hit peak fame. Recently, a very early live performance from the band has been making the rounds. It took place almost exactly 17 years ago in Phoenix, Arizona at the Mason Jar. It features the band playing a bunch off tracks off “Hybrid Theory” (before it was released) in an intimate setting far different from the arenas and amphitheaters fans would grow accustomed to seeing them in.
