HOODS UP are ready to explode on the UK Beatdown scene after the release of their brand new EP, ‘Essex Hardstyle’. Debut single ‘To The Pavement’ perfectly announces the bands intentions, brutality and violence, influenced by Malevolence, Laid 2 Rest, Dying Fetus, and more.
The 10 minute EP is a wild trip of Death Metal and Hardcore influences, with enough breakdowns to make you want to crowd kill. Opening track ‘Animal Instinct’ sets the tone with its crushing guitars and fierce drum beats, before vocalist George Pesti’s harsh vocals start to reign down. ‘Noir Spirit’ is also a highlight, showing of the bands Death Metal influences led by the double guitar onslaught of Ben Gilbey and Tom Southon.
