DOOM was arguably one of the most popular videogames to come out last year and it was metal as fuck. Using a 9 string guitar with many other odds and ends, the soundtrack plays out like an industrial infused Meshuggah / modern djent type record.
The music for DOOM was written by the man Mick Gordon, who was also responsible for the soundtracks for Wolfenstein & Killer Instinct. It’s also worth noting that Fredrik Thordendal of Meshuggah wrote a track for the last Wolfenstein game which you can check out by CLICKING HERE.
During GDC 2017, Mick Gordon took the time to personally highlight the secrets and easter eggs in the soundtrack after some were put on blast last year. This includes one you likely haven’t heard before. The results are funny to say the least…
