2/21/17 UPDATE – H.R.’s surgery just occurred today. According to the individuals working on the “Finding Joseph I” documentary in relation to H.R., the operation was a success. While we’re still awaiting the full details, they had the following to say:
“HR‘s surgery went well! He is now in ICU bed. His wife Lori said he looks good. ⚡️P.M.A.⚡️”
ORIGINAL STORY – It has been a rough stretch for the members of Bad Brains. Not only did guitarist Dr. Know have a major decline of health in recent history (READ MORE HERE), now the band’s frontman H.R. (aka Paul Hudson) is dealing with a neurobiological disorder. In a recent interview with Loudwire, H.R. disclosed that he would be undergoing brain surgery on February 21st. More specifically, he had the following to say of this:
“[My wife] took me to the hospital so I would learn about what was going on in my head, because I was experiencing bad headaches at the time. And the doctor came to me and he said we’re going to have a surgery.”
