India has been making their presence known more and more within the metal world. Whether it be bands like Skyharbor and Demonic Resurrection or the recent movement started by our friend Rishabh Seen mixing Sitar with Progressive Metal (WATCH HERE!). Hell, even one our long time writer, Aurko, hails from Kolkata. Great people all around!
One of the latest artists to combine Progressive Metal with traditional Indian music is Sagar Shinde. He’s an exceptional Tabla player who’s been tackling a number of Animals As Leaders tracks of late. He started off by interpreting the AAL classic “Behaving Badly”. Now, he’s back with a take on the modern AAL banger “The Woven Web”. Both covers provide an interesting, alternative percussional take on these great songs, thanks to Sagar’s exceptional abilities.
That being the case, when Sagar first got in contact with us, we knew it was meant to be. You can check out all of the above, down below! Enjoy and show some love!
