Not to be confused with Battlestar Galactica, Fraktions is a new act coming out of London. Their explicit purpose it to fuse together the impact of modern metal, empowered by colourful and refined guitar work, with jazz harmony and djenty grooves. The intelligent riffage and wise use of synth delivers a unique atmosphere, especially thanks to the efforts of an original take on clean vocals, giving this band’s sound a unique taste and a mighty impression.
Currently, the band is gearing up to launch a brand new EP “Anguish” on 12th August 2016. In support of this endeavor, they’ve crafted a music video for the single “Freedom Of The Conscious Mind” premiering right here, right now! So, what are you waiting for? Give it a go and show some love to Fraktions if you enjoy the music!
Here’s a description of the concept behind the music, as provided by the band:
The concept behind FRAKTIONS new EP ‘Anguish’ is about the final chapter of a schizophrenic woman’s life. Our protagonist, Sarah, suffers from paranoid schizophrenia, meaning she experiences aural hallucinations for most hours of the day if she does not take her prescribed medication. The compositional aim is to transport the listener into the frantic and unpredictable mind of someone with schizophrenia.
