The promise of a new Killswitch Engage album has been steadily building anticipation within the community for some time now. It started with word of the band recording the record and was followed up with news of just how massive the album would be. This anticipation blew up even more when vocalist Jesse Leach let it slip that the album would likely be released in March of next year. Not to mention the release of an all new single / music video combo late last week!
Now, it appears as if the album’s title has been unveiled. The 7th Killswitch Engage LP will be known as “Incarnate”. While speaking with Revolver Magazine, frontman Jesse Leach offered up the following reasoning for this title:
“The definition of incarnate is ‘in the flesh.’ And this record is who we are right now. Whereas [2013’s] ‘Disarm The Descent’ was sort of my ‘comeback’ album, and was about us feeling out the new vibe. But now, after spending a few years traveling the world together, I think we’re all in a really comfortable place. We definitely have a strong sense of self as to who we are as a band.”
