Back in January, System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian let it be known that "there has been talk" of a new SOAD album. Now, it appears as if the band has moved beyond that point, actually writing new music.
In a recent interview with Mad Music Review, System of a Down bassist Shavo Odadjian stated that the band has, in fact, written new songs. When asked if there was a chance of the band hitting the studio soon, Shavo had the following to say.
“Very good chance, I don’t have a date. We’ve already gone, we’ve written some songs. We’re keeping it to ourselves, we’re getting back to the bullshit of being together…”
