Metal Madness is a tournament 100% based on public opinion. All 64 bands that made it in are simply there because they were placed by popular demand in the month-long Preliminary Round. They were then ranked from #1 to #64 based on the number of individual votes and seeded as such.
During this process, there were a lot of bands that didn't quite make it. And a lot of these bands really deserved the spot. So we're going to give them recognition and a shot at new ears.
