One of the fastest rising modern Metal acts to come from the Mosh-hungry sub-continent is Yonsample. Producing modern Progressive Metal numbers in the vein of acts like The Contortionist and the likes, Yonsample are a five piece act with an EP titled “Paraphernalia”, comprising of 5 tracks, under their belt. Launching one single after another as a build up to their soon to be released full-length debut, the band has generated quite the hype among the city as well as metalheads on a countrywide scale. The band came out with their new single “Median” shortly before 2014 ended.
While the band has been in the Calcutta Metal scenario for a considerable amount of time, and have only an EP out, they have a hell of a CV in their kitty, having opened for the likes of Parkway Drive, Pain of Salvation, TesseracT, the almighty Meshuggah and this coming weekend Karnivool on the latter’s debut Indian tour.
