The German speed/power metal band, Blind Guardian, will be releasing a new album (first time in five years!) in January 2015. Before then they will bestow unto us a single on December 5 entitled "Thunder of the Gods." The iconic vocalist Hansi explains, "this song is a statement about Blind Guardian. The pure definition of all that the band stands for: it is innovative, melodic and brutal." Brutal, I wonder what that looks like for a power metal band. The song will include an epic chorus with catchy lines.
This magnificent band is one of the icons of German power metal, telling epic stories related to Tolkien's tales and science fiction, and combining orchestral arrangements with metal.
