Coming out of South Florida, Tech Death 5 piece Abiotic have been carving a path of destruction over the past few years. First with their “Universal Plague” EP and then striking back twice as strong with the debut album “Symbiosis”.
But as with most bands, it hasn’t been a straightforward endeavor. Abiotic recently found a replacement for their previous frontman Ray Jimenez. Travis Bartosek has taken the helm as the band moves into their recording sessions for album #2. Speaking of which, there’s plenty of good news! Read the official press release:
Recording is currently underway for Abiotic’s sophomore album at The Basement Recording in Winston-Salem, NC. The band is working with producer Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me, The Human Abstract, Glass Casket) whose creative input will be an important facet on how their new songs take shape.
In a recent interview, guitarist John Matos explained: “Jamie King is the man and we can’t wait to hear what he has in store for our sound. We wanted to be as prepared as possible so that we have that wiggle room to be creative during tracking. Being solid on how everything will go before hand leaves room to try new things and can take a record to the next level.”
Abiotic’s second album will be released in early 2015 and is the follow up to 2012’s “Symbiosis.”
