Last May, The Acacia Strain decided to move on without their studio guitarist / founding member Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz. You can read up more on that here. Even more recently, the band announced two new guitarists set to officially join their line-up in his place. Devin Shidaker (ex-Oceano) and Richard Gomez are those guitarists.
The band gave a glimpse at the new line-up’s heavy damage back in November with the 7″ release, “Above/Below” (listen down yonder). Now they’ll be heading back to the studio in March to record a new full-length alongside producer Will Putney (Fit For An Autopsy, Thy Art Is Murder, Upon A Burning Body, Impending Doom, etc). The effort will be released via Rise Records. More details are still en route.
One thing’s for certain… It will be damn heavy. Stay tuned for much more where that came from.
