Swedish talents The Drake Equation recently put out their new EP “Variables”. It features 3 fresh new tracks and the oldie / goodie bonus track, “One Step Alone”. They deliver a modern progressive metal melt with electro and pop influences. The first song “Judgement” is a perfect demonstration of what this band is aiming for, while the second track “Monument” is a way heavier tune in which the band unleashes all of its most aggressive riffage. This song is followed by “Settlement” from which a new music video was created. You may enjoy them, you may not. But “Variables” is definitely worth a listen.
