Heavy as hell, Sweden’s Vildhjarta absolutely ripped into the metal scene at the end of last year with no mercy. When “Masstaden” dropped, I was hooked immediately to the strange, tech-heavy, ominously ambient vibe these guys had as it became one of my favorite albums of 2011. Vildhjarta sounds like pure evil at times and it’s awesome. There’s no current news on upcoming music, but the band just released new artwork which might hint at something as the band used such a concept to inspire their first record.
