AVERSED – Spiraling (Live Session)
Taken from the group’s live in the studio EP (Abandoned In Charlestown) playing a selection of songs from their recent 2021 album, Impermanent. Out August 18th.
Aversed band statement regarding Abandoned In Charlestown:
“We selected three of our favorite and most musically ambitious tracks from “Impermanent” to perform live with Charlestown AV, the studio in which we tracked guitars, vocals, and many other components of the album. The songs were selected for their thematic reflection of our experiences during the pandemic, as every member in the band individually lost their livelihood and went through some major life transitions. “Abandoned” is a story of heartbreak and separation, while “Nightshade” chronicles an apocalypse ending the ephemeral reign of humans on earth and their inevitable replacement with other forms of nature. Finally, “Spiraling” details the loss of control and dissociation from self during uncertain times.”
“We recorded it last winter in one night in late November 2020. Everything was tracked live with Haydee just in a separate vocal booth for isolation purposes. Our camera people were Joe Mahoney and NohJun Park, and it was mixed by Alden Marchand and mastered by Jack Kosto of Seven Spires.”
