You’re most likely familiar with the saxophone chops of the one and only Kenny G. However, you may not be familiar with the guitar chops of his son Max Gorelick (Max G for short).
It turns out Max is one of the three brilliant minds that have collided in the band The Mantle. Their output is very impressive, combining high end progressive and technical elements in an instrumental format capable of competing with some of the best.
This was put on display through a self-titled album that hit the world last year and can be enjoyed in full through the Bandcamp stream provided below. Furthermore, the LP was produced and mixed by Max G with mastering done by no less than Skyharbor’s Keshav Dhar.
