Obliterate are preparing to… well… obliterate the ears of listeners come May 18th! They’re gearing up for the release of an all new Deathcore album by the name of “Impending Death” and so far, it’s sounding so good! Pre-orders are currently available to those who CLICK HERE.
You can get a taste of this through the title track music video which was launched through New Noise recently.
Here’s the official press release in support of this move:
Victoriaville, Quebec’s OBLITERATE have released a music video for the title track off of their crushing new album Impending Death today via New Noise. This pulverizing video shows exactly why the group’s highly anticipated Unique Leader debut, which has a May 18th street date, will establish the group as one of the most aggressive and exciting bands in the current deathcore scene.
The group collectively said of the video, “For this video we decided to make things differently from our previous ones. We went to an abandoned asylum, where 9 patients perished in flames in 1988, to shoot a storyline. In the clip you can see a woman using different methods to kill us. We tried to demonstrate that no matter how things or people may look, death is inevitable and you’ll have to face it one day or another.”
OBLITERATE are currently touring throughout the Midwest and East Coast of the US alongside Widowmaker and Second Death.

Formed in 2010, OBLITERATE have emerged from Quebec, Canada as a crushing component of the modern death metal and deathcore mechanism. The band wasted no time and in 2012, OBLITERATE released their debut album The Filth of Humanity, which showed the massive potential of the band and lead to consistent touring across the US and Canada. The band followed this up with an EP which continued to cement the group as one of the leaders of Canadian deathcore.
In mid 2016, OBLITERATE entered the studio with Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy, Ingested) and began working on their new album Impending Death. The album, which features guest vocals from members of I Declare War and Oceano, showcases the band’s best material to date and led to a a deal with Unique Leader Records. The band commented on the signing, ‘Signing with Unique Leader is really the next big step for Obliterate. We’ve been hard working on this record for a while and, with this partnership, we think it’s the perfect time for us to treat our fans. This album demonstrates a much more mature and atmospheric sound which takes our music to a whole new level. We also got two of the industry’s beefiest vocalists to appear on separate songs. Old-timer deathcore fans surely won’t be disappointed’.
