David Penna, best known as drummer of 90’s New York tech-thrashers Kronin, is now leading the progressive hard rock project PENNA.
The music winds through shades of metal, prog, shoegaze and fusion, with lyrical themes touching on death, addiction and spirituality. PENNA’s latest release ‘SubLevels’ is available as a “Name Your Price” download on Bandcamp, as well as from CD Baby, Apple Music / iTunes, YouTube Music and other popular outlets.
While recording ‘SubLevels’, Penna coordinated the reissue of Kronin’s sole full-length ‘How Do You Start This Thing?’ on No Dust Records, and their music was featured in the just re-released Lightyear / Sony “Get Thrashed” documentary film. Besides Kronin, Penna has worked with Spastic Ink, Ad Astra, Planet Hate and Ronnie Spector.
