HAGO is a Bostonian based band that all the prog heads of this world should be paying attention to right about now. They’re hyper talented and beyond creative, leading listeners through paths largely untraveled. You never quite know what you’re going to get from this band but its safe to expect something awesome.
The instrumental palette is also unique in comparison to most bands in this field. HAGO implements a Saxophone player in their main line-up but also bring on a whole menagerie of guest musicians using a lauto, trumpet, string quintet, various percussion, etc.
All of this and more comes crashing together beautifully on the debut, self-titled HAGO release which saw the light of day just a couple weeks back. The record is currently available for streaming and purchase over on Bandcamp and can, likewise, be streamed through the YouTube link found down below and purchased on CDbaby and iTunes.
It’s hard to stop listening once you really get into the meat of a project such as this! Clocking in at over an hour, it’s just a very impressive experience all around.
