Sadly, it appears that everyone’s favorite Spongebob Squarepants parody band is coming to an end. The following statement was just released by xSPONGECOREx….
I’ve always been a firm believer in never overdoing things.
Unfortunately, even though just a mere two months ago I said we weren’t going anywhere, our time is up. The ideas have simply stopped flowing, 2 years ago when I started this project I didn’t expect to make more than the first 5 tracks, yet, two years later here we are with 4 EP’s, 30 tracks, and over 40 minutes of the most xXBROOTALXx music to ever come out of the Pacific Ocean. I don’t want to have to try and create/force ideas, most of these tracks came naturally with just a simple flowing thought that I was then able to physically create. (Which is super rad!) But, my thoughts aren’t flowing like that anymore and haven’t been for a while. My ideas have been elsewhere with other projects and other things and I don’t want to try and force more material because anything forced will never be sincere or the best of quality. So, we’re laying down the instruments for now heading back to our full time jobs at the Krusty Krab!
(This doesn’t mean a live show will ever be out of the picture though, I promise <3)
And with that, I present to you xXBARNACLEHEADSXx:
The third and final installment of Bikini Bottom Beatdown entitled “Brutal…er Bikini Bottom Beatdown”, and it includes everything we have ever made! 4 EP’s, 30 tracks, over 40 minutes of pure xXBROOTALITYXx! There will be xXNOLIMITXx on how many copies will be made. How ever many are preordered is what gets produced!
This will more than likely be the last thing we ever press so if you haven’t gotten yourself a CD yet, here’s your xXCHANCEXx! All proceeds, as usual, will be donated to various charities helping different causes all over the country/world!
