After the chorus of jaws dropping to the percussion driven insanity of the latest Meshuggah single “Nostrum”, the band’s drummer Tomas Haake opted to post up a playthrough! As if it wasn’t already known, this man’s skill level is damn near beyond comprehension.
This paired with the band’s previous single “Born of Dissonance” indicate very good things to come from the impending album. Speaking of which, “The Violent Sleep Of Reason” is set for release on October 7th through Nuclear Blast Records. Pre-orders are currently available HERE.

It was also recently made known that the band recorded “The Violent Sleep Of Reason” live in the studio as a singular unit. This is the first time they’ve used this recording method in ~20 years. The results are exciting to say the very least.
