Guitarist Egor Lappo (also of the band Sphere of Ability) is becoming more and more well known for his comedic and unexpected takes on metal music. This ranges from flat out comedic playing, as we saw with his guide – 13 Awesome Ways To Use Low Strings – to covers as we saw with his My Little Pony Metal Songs and rendition of The Beatles going djent.
Now, he’s come to throw a twist on the music of Devin Townsend… all of the music of Devin Townsend… sort of. He essentially took songs from every Devin Townsend Project record and squashed them into a 5 minute riff fest that turned out to be pretty awesome. It’s great for old and new fans of Hevy Devy alike. You can take a gander at this video just below.
