Guitarist Egor Lappo (also of the band Sphere of Ability) is becoming more and more well known for his comedic and unexpected takes on metal music. This ranges from flat out comedic playing, as we saw with his guide – 13 Awesome Ways To Use Low Strings – to covers as we saw with his My Little Pony Metal Songs.
Today, we’re here for a cover – and an unlikely one at that. It’s well executed but somewhat funny conceptually. He decided to cover the peaceful, tripped out classic from The Beatles “Strawberry Fields Forever” with a metallic Djent twist. The contrast between the two versions is notable.
