I don’t even know where to begin… We usually do our best to keep negativity and hatred off of this site but this is inexcusable. When you try to take advantage of a tragedy for your own means, you’re an awful person. Furthermore, when you try to take advantage of a tragedy for your own means to spread a message of ignorance and hatred, you might as well be the most despicable shit on the planet.
Pastor Steven Anderson is a man that clearly doesn’t have a clue. He has an awful track record when it comes to spreading baseless hatred. He could be considered amongst the pinnacle of ignorance in religion. This weekend, he targeted our community without the faintest idea of what he was talking about. Feel free to read over his tasteless, brainless words and let your insides burn:
“When you go to a concert of death metal, somebody might get killed! You know, you’re worshiping death! And then, all of a sudden, people start dying!… Well, you love death so much, you bought the ticket, you love worshiping Satan! Well, let’s have some of Satan’s religion come in and shoot you!
I mean, that’s what these people should think about before they go into such a wicked concert. And look I’m not condoning what these Islamic murderers did, they’re wicked, they’re murders.
But you know what, nobody should be at a concert worshiping Satan with this drug pushing hillbilly faggot. And that’s what he is. I mean all you have to do is just Google this band. Somebody told me, somebody emailed me and told me ‘just hit Google Images, Eagles Of Death Metal‘ and these guys are just total sodomite looking freaks. You know, but nobody thinks about that. It’s just ‘oh no, let’s stand with France.’”
I shouldn’t have to explain why this is so disgusting and blatantly false. But it does bear saying that The Eagles Of Death Metal are not a Death Metal band… at all… If anything, they’re the exact opposite. And as with all good satire and comedy, it flew right over the heads of the less intelligent population of the world. I’m looking at you, Pastor Steven Anderson. A little research goes a long way.
