Euroblast – Day 2
CLICK HERE FOR DAY ONE After sleeping off the effects of a moderately vengeful hangover, blame for which I charge a combination of lack of tax on German liquor and my personal weakness when in any proximity to Jägermeister, I head down to the venue a little later than planned. Meaning that I […]
Possible Return For Substructure?
Let me start by saying DO NOT get your hopes up. That being said, a number of interesting things have piped up on my feed. I’ve been following the work of Substructure since before The Circle Pit and have consequently, more or less, kept up with the work of the band’s bassist / graphic designer […]
Free Music Monday – Forsythia “Sonder” EP
Hidden away in a secluded valley metropolis, Forsythia has brushed off the sand natural to their climate bringing a modern and progressive metal experience pounding from the heart of the Northwest. Forsythia’s sophmore release “Sonder”, released today, expands upon the sound of their previous, debut album “Aversions”. Familiar song structures, spacious ambiance, and dynamic rhythm […]
Panzerballett “Breaking Brain” Released
I’m not quite sure why these jazz metal bands have been popping up onto my radar so much lately, but I’m more than content with it. I guess it’s just awesome to hear badass polyrhythms. Then again, I’m a little biased because drums are, to me, what pulls music into specific genres. Think about that, […]

It’s the super group combining former members of Animals As Leaders, The Faceless, and Animosity in a high octane, Technical Metal format. Unfortunately, however, they just made the call to remove guitarist Frank Costa (ex-Animosity) from the line-up. Here’s […]

Meshuggah’s Bleed – Played With Blood
Okay, so Halloween has come and gone following a weekend full of hard partying and sugar induced comas. But, despite the inevitable wave of Christmas and Thanksgiving hype, this is still completely worth sharing. YouTube metal creative man Pete Cottrell decided the haunted season would be the proper time to cover Meshuggah’s rhythmical juggernaut “Bleed”… […]
