Century Media Records is a staple of the metal community. The label has been acting independently for a solid 27 years, making quite a reputation for themselves along the way. They bolster names such as Arch Enemy, Napalm Death, At The Gates, Monuments, and so many more. In all of this time, they’ve reached a value of $15-20 million.
As such, by the word of Music Business Worldwide, Sony Music has bought the label including it’s other branches InsideOut Music and Magic Arts Publishing. This will likely usher Century Media to a new level. Though only time will tell.
