It’s a sad day. But it’s not one that wasn’t foreseen. Due to Mike Malyan’s troubles with RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) and fighting spirit to keep playing, he had to make the decision to leave Monuments and let himself heal. In a recent interview we had with him, he spoke in-depth about the issues he’s been having. You can find that down below. He also left the following statement in regards to this:
“Hey guys and gals, Mike here.
I’m sorry to say that I am parting ways with the band, here’s a link to our last show together.
All upcoming gigs are still going ahead, and the next drummer for the band is gonna blow your mind.
A more heartfelt video announcement will be made within the week which will explain the situation in more depth and reveal the next sticksman… But for now, it’s important you all know this is a decision that I made months ago and we all have nothing but love for eachother.
