Uneven Structure left quite an impression back in 2011 when the dropped the monumental, two-part concept album “Februus”. Listening was like exploring a whole world encapsulated in music. Then they struck yet again in 2013 with the re-make of their Meshuggah-esque debut EP, “8”.
Now, here we are, two years later and they appear to be well at work on their sophomore full-length which looks to be titled “La Partition”. At this point, it may even be close to completion. They’ve been releasing a number of preview clips in support of this effort and, to be frank, they’re sounding amazing. We’ve shown a few before, but there have been more since. You can see them all down below.
The band stated this of the effort, “We’re mostly done writing La Partition, we still have got one section and two interludes to work over. Then we’re starting the tracking progress.”
In the same way that “Februus” was a conceptual effort with 2+ years of effort behind it, they appear to be putting some serious time and attention to detail into the incoming soundscapes of “La Partition”. This is certainly one of my most anticipated albums of the year and something to look out for in general.
You can get a small taste of what’s to come down below. I’ve also included streams of their previous efforts. Enjoy!
