According to Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath is currently preparing for their "last hurrah". Their final show will take place at Ozzfest Japan this November. After which, Ozzy will continue touring as a solo act.
Drummer Bill Ward has been invited to play the final gig. But there hasn't been more word on that yet.
Here's what Ozzy had to say:
"[This will be] our last hurrah. Then it's no more Sabbath at all. We're disbanding the name and everything… They [Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler] don't want to tour anymore. I get it. But I love it. I'm gonna continue my solo thing."
It was cool seeing the band reunite from 2012 onwards, short lived as the experience may have been. There's no denying the massive impact Black Sabbath has had on metal. And for that, we are forever grateful. Respect \m/
