In a rather interesting turn of events, Veil of Maya have announced a series of new shows in 2 weeks times. These are based around the band's appearance at the upcoming (and rabidly anticipated) KnotFest. The reason why this is interesting is due to the fact that the band is currently without a vocalist.
This leaves the door open to one of four possibilities. First, the band will continue as an instrumental unit until they find the right front. Second, the band have officially found a new vocalist and plan on unveiling them shortly. Third, the band want to give a potential new vocalist a trial run. Fourth, the band have a fill in vocalist until they find the right person. Shit, I suppose Marc Okubo could even try multi-tasking with some vox (probably not the case).
Guess we shall see how it all plays out come two weeks time (or possibly even beforehand). Here are the dates along with some jams.
10/24 Denver, CO – Marquis Theatre
10/25 Gallup, NM – Willie Roy’s
10/26 San Bernardino, CA – Knotfest
10/27 Mesa, AZ – The Nile Theatre
10/29 Norman, OK – The Labyrinth
