No country seems to be producing modern metalcore in the same way as Australia. And with such such massive influences as Parkway Drive, Northlane, and even heavier proposals such as Thy Art Is Murder and Boris The Blade – it's not hard to see why. And honestly, that's barely even scratching the surface of what this country has to offer.
Here's a five-piece Sydney band riding the latest waves. With their self-titled, debut EP making its presence known just barely over a week ago, Dystopic take aim for greatness. And this is certainly a good start. They'll have time to grow as musicians and find a sound to truly call their own. But for now, this is a solid metalcore debut bringing many of the most beloved elements of the sub-genre.
