Anyone who knows Decapitated should know the events that transpired seven years ago. The band was in a horrible accident near the Russian border which left drummer Witold "Vitek" Kieltyka deceased and vocalist Adrian "Covan" Kowanek decommissioned from serious head trauma.
Unfortunately, the band just relived the incident a few days ago with a crash on the way to New Orleans. Luckily, this time, the band was able to walk away from the incident without injury. Even better, they'll continue the tour like true men of metal. Unfortunately, they'll need to replace their vehicle. But we're certainly glad to hear the band is okay and able to move forward with their craft.
Here's the official statement in regards to this:
"Decapitated was involved in a serious van accident on Friday afternoon on their way to a show in House of Blues, New Orleans, LA. We are all ok (two persons were hospitalized and released after a few hours) and we will continue our tour with American Sharks and GWAR. This time we were lucky."
