Ever have album art melt your face? Every once and awhile a band will create or commission artwork which is undeniably awesome, iconic, or inspiring. Sometimes it compliments the music in the perfect way, leaving a mark on the listener or maybe even music history itself.
Welcome to the Art Gallery. We’re gonna take a look at some really impressive art while listening to some great music in the process.
Deeds of Flesh has a habit of pulling some incredible artwork, especially on their last few efforts. But something about their latest, "Portals to Canaan", really blew my mind. If you simply take a look, it shouldn't be hard to see why. The album is not only musically devastating, but it sports one of the most impressive album covers a death metal fan could hope for. It illustrates a violent, mass scale alien abduction in extreme detail. Have a good look and listen \m/

Next on our list is Uneven Structure. This French progressive metal band has a tendency to write (frankly) uneven music and bring a massive scale presentation both sonically and aesthetically. While I was tempted to display the artwork for the band's gargantuan debut album "Februus", it was ultimately clear that their re-release of the EP "8" deserved the spot for artwork. Take a gander.

Rivers of Nihil is one of our local bands that got to sign on with the juggernaut Metal Blade Records. Ever since, they released the album "The Conscious Seed of Light". It's one hell of an album if you haven't already had a chance to listen. Furthermore, it has arguably one of the coolest album covers of last year. This is all while staying true to the band's name. Enjoy.
