Shit just got Slayerious! My favourite from the Big 4, the almighty Slayer have finally unleashed a track from their upcoming album which is due to release later this year. For the lucky SOB’s who showed up at this year’s Revolver Golden Gods, the band played a set littered with the favourites and then went on to unveil the track.
The track has been made available for free download on the band’s official website. Also, the band has made the following comment:
“Hey, Mutherfuckers – You have been waiting for us, now we are delivering for you. We’ve got a brand new song – “Implode” – it’s Slayer’s first new song since “World Painted Blood” was released back in 2009 – and we want you guys to hear it, so we’re giving it away for free. All you have to do is go slayer.net/implode, enter your email address and we’ll send you the download link. We’re writing and recording more new music, so keep coming back here and we’ll tell you how it’s going. And hey, we’re hitting the road next month with Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus – WE WANT TO FUCKING SEE YOU THERE!”
With the untimely passing of Jeff Hanneman last year, the band’s survived a major chance of deviating from the treblish, anti-God, somewhat Fascist aural vitriol that we have heard and loved since Adam. Remains to be seen how many of you love them well enough to predict which parts are Hanneman inspired, when the album drops.
